Steph and i celebrated thanksgiving in 2006 at the Crows Nest in Santa Cruz, CA while on our honeymoon and enjoyed it very much. In 2007 we drove to an american restaurant close to cologne to end the day with a decent dinner. Last year due to being fresh mommy and daddy we just celebrated at home with a little turkey feast for the three of us.
Today we will follow the parade across the web as good as possible and i found these websites for getting more photos, videos and infos on the 2009 Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade.
Best of all i just found a ustream channel that is supposed to stream the parade in HD (which was not there last year). If that is not working, try earthcam.com, they will give you a kind-of-stream-without-sound via webcam.

this is a new category i had in mind for a couple of months. there are so many cute, weird and awesome events in the states (especially the bay area) that i keep reeding about that i just had to imagine where i would go today – supposed i would be living in the bay (which i sadly don’t).
so this one is first and a whole lot of other ones will follow, i will also add a couple backwards from now so it might be interesting to check out this new category as a whole.
