steph and i took betty for a last sunny summerday cruise today. actually it was stephs first time riding in betty ever since i got her back from the car shop (which happened in january this year!).
there is still a lot to do on this car but she has really advanced this year both on the technical part and of course concerning body and interior.

i am looking for a garage right now to store her safely for the wintertime but that seems to be harder than i thought.

we had a great last summercruise. thanks betty! i can hardly wait till spring. maybe we will also get a couple of sunny days in autum

Just picked up betty with all new interior which was finally finished this morning. what a nice birthday surprise.

today during my lunchbreak i finally had a moment to drop by the car shop and take a look at the work the guys have done on bettys new interior.

allthough it is not fully finished, the door panels and the freshly refurbished seats look awesome.
a couple more days and the interior will be finished.

so tonight i hooked up with smily, sarah, thilo and a couple of other guys with their oldtimers at the drive in theater to watch quentin tarantinos “death proof“. thanx to smily and sarah for letting me listen to the movie in their oldie as betty does not yet have a soundsystem or radio.

betty (my 1958 chevy biscayne) made it across the rhine to the drive in and back through cologne at midnight … i was a bit anxious if she would run good cause of some minor noises coming from the transmission but she did the job just fine and i enjoyed driving her around town.

Finally Betty Biscaynes starts into the season

After months and months of waiting, after a long dark winter and a vandalized tire finally i hit the road with betty for the first time (except driving from or to some auto repair shop) … the sun was warm, i got a new tire for the one some idiot just destroyed on the parked car.

at first i was a bit anxious how betty would perform but hey the first ride out was fun and everything worked fine.
i am looking forward to more summer days just cruising down the road with my latest dream car.

isn’t she a beauty? i love that car.

damm winter kicks in for a couple of days … of course this has to happen before i get a garage for betty to stay safe and dry.

Betty Biscayne – home at last!

so today was THE day, me and steph picked up betty biscayne from the car guys and i drove her home without any problems – even though it started snowing on the way back home. the new V8 is running smoothly and i have the TÜV approval for getting her a historic-license and registration. right now i am looking for a garage so she is safe from the next two rainy/snowy months.
i am absolutely looking forward to this summer and all the nice oldtimer and vintage meetings we will attend with my new dreamcar. i bought her right after my first visit to viva las vegas, two years ago and have been working on the car since them.
more updates are shortly coming up as i have the complete new interior parts laying around here in some boxes at home.

so i am very happy and pleased that this car is in the good condition it is in now and safely home with all it’s new installments.

Betty Biscanye gets a new V8

I just visited the mechanics that are working on my new chevy biscayne and was very pleased to see that they have allready installed a very beautifull V8-engine inside of betty. the engine looks like it is brandnew and even has a garantee for over 1 year. what more can you ask for.

man i have a feeling that these guys are finally the kind of mechanics i was looking for.
betty is supposed to be technically finished and accepted from the state-TÜV in january.

i can hardly wait!
