Got all our stuff moved to a larger storage compartment

As our current appartment does not have a cellar, steph and i got a storage compartment a couple of years ago. it holds a lot of the stuff from our childhood and stuff we don’t need in our current appartment or lives.

with a nine month old toddler in our household we are constantly minimizing all the old kitsch and retro stuff around the house … we have had a weird/funny/kitschy home for years (and loved it!) but right now usability is just more what we aim for. so therefore we upgraded our storage space and will get all the unnecessary stuff in the compartment until we have found a bigger and better home. yesterday a couple of movers moved all our old stuff to the bigger compartment. next week the movers will grab the contents of a whole room of our appartment and put it inside the compartment.

ben will get his own little room now and we are getting a completely new family dining room, where the whole family (and guests) can sit down and have breakfast, lunch or dinner.

i am so excited to get all that old stuff out of the house, it is time for a change. we have allready changed up the bedroom and the living room quit a bit last year. now the last two rooms are getting redone.

good thing is, that once we found our future home, moving will be so much simpler, as we have allready neatly packed up 50 percent of our stuff in the storage compartment.

Sucky weather, sucky (iphone) camera

we are no carnival nuts over here … so this was as close as i let carnival get close to us or vice versa. took a walk with ben and phoebe and chilled most of the time today. sorry for the bad quality pics … if i just have a photo from my iphone that will most of the times just mean i was lazy
